- Access the “Control Panel” and pick the “System and Security” option. Open the “System” window and check your “System type” if it’s 32 bit or 64 bit. Then check if there is any ethernet driver on the PC.
- Return to the “Control Panel” menu and locate the “Network and Sharing Center” option. Access it.
- Select the “Change adapter settings” from the left panel. The ethernet connection will display here. If there is no ethernet connection, then proceed.

- Extend the “Other devices” section. Select the “Ethernet Controller” option and open its dropdown menu.
- Pick “Update Driver.” Select the option to look for it on the web. If it says that it could find any device to set up, select “Close.”
- Now, select the “Properties” option from the dropdown menu. Go for the “Details” tab.
- Extend the “Property” section and go for “hardware IDs.” Copy the first value. Pick “Ok” and close the “Device Manager.”
- Access the browser from the PC and put the copied value in the URL bar. Find a secure download link from the results.
- Locate the latest download link from the “Driver Identifier” website. Go for the “Download” option. Click “Download” again.
- Sign up on the website with your email. Then, download the file. Locate the file from the PC and run it as administrator.
- Select “Install.” Follow the process by clicking “Next” and pick “Install.”
- It will take some time to install. After installing is complete, a new window will show up asking the network protection mode. Pick the “Home Network” option.
- Pick “Finish.” Check the “Network adapters” option from the “Device Manager,” and you will find it there now.
- Check that the “Network Connections” and “LAN” or “Ethernet” connection will show up.
Fixing Network Adapter Missing
