Video games are something we all like doing. However, imitating them and creating the necessary settings might be highly perplexing. PCSX2 is a PlayStation 2 emulator that lets gamers play old PlayStation 2 games on their computers, and without BIOS data, running a PlayStation emulator is pointless.

Dumping BIOS Data from PS2
To do this operation, you’ll need a modded PS2 console. Collect a USB flash drive that goes well with your PS2 console. Now, to dump BIOS data from PS2 console
- Go to https://pcsx2.net from any browser.
- Navigate to “Download,” then select “Tools.”
- Download the BIOS dumper file. Binary and ISO are the two different files available to download. Get your preferred one.
- Open the downloaded file. Select and copy the “DUMPBIOS-MASS.ELF” file and paste it into your USB flash drive. Remove the flash drive.
- Now, hook the USB flash drive to your PS2 console. Launch your preferred ELF launching method and go to “FileBrowser.”
- Scroll down to “mass:/” and open it. It will read from the USB flash drive.
- Launch the “ELF” file.
- Now, the BIOS and ROM files will be dumped automatically. The whole process takes about three and a half minutes. Remove the USB flash drive and turn off the PS2 after the operation is completed.
- Open the PCSX2 installation folder from your computer and run the “pcsx2.exe” application. Continue the installation till the BIOS files are needed.
- Insert the USB flash drive and copy the dumped BIOS data to the “bios” folder in the PCSX2 installation folder.
- Now, click on “Refresh list” from the “PCSX2 First Time Configuration” window. Select the dumped BIOS from the list and hit “Finish.”
- Now, you should be able to run the PCSX2 using the dumped BIOS.
How to Play PS2 Games on PC?
Once you’ve installed the PCSX2 on your PC, it will be an easy job for you to play PS2 games on it. Go through the simple steps given below to run PS2 games
- Launch the PCSX2 program and click on “Config” to configure your preferred controller.
- Set up the PS2 game you want to play in a folder.
- Click on “CDVD,” then navigate to “ISO Selector.” Browse your game directory.
- Go to “System” and hit “Boot BIOS” to enjoy the selected PS2 game on your PC.
Is It Legal to Dump PS2 BIOS?
Because you are obtaining it from an approved source you legally possess, it is entirely lawful to dump your PS2 BIOS and use it yourself. You can’t lawfully grab a friend’s PS2 and use that to leave the BIOS.
