How to run WhatsApp in Windows 10 without needing my phone? If you are like me, you probably have apps on your Windows 10 smartphone that you can't live without. So here's how you can install WhatsApp again so you can snap back to reality.

Run WhatsApp in Windows 10

WhatsApp Messenger, commonly known as WhatsApp, is the most sought-after messaging application worldwide. As of February 2020, it has over 2 billion users worldwide. This messaging application was first released in February 2009. In February 2014, it was purchased by Facebook in February 2014 and was said to operate as a standalone product.

Due to its many convenient features, WhatsApp is now a central means of electronic communication in many parts of the world like Africa, Latin America, Europe, and the Indian subcontinent. Such features include text/messaging, group chat, document sharing, photos and videos sharing, and end-to-end encryption.

Although it is designed primarily as a mobile phone application, you can also use it on your PC without needing a mobile phone. Below are proven methods that can help you operate WhatsApp in Windows 10 without requiring your phone.

Using WhatsApp Web

Introduced in 2015 as a mirrored version of WhatsApp for computers, WhatsApp Web allows you to use WhatsApp on your computer from the web browser. This is the fastest method since it does not need any downloads.

Using WhatsApp Web

  3. From the displayed menu that appears, click on WhatsApp Web.

Once the scan is completed, your account will be verified. Although this is the easiest method, it still requires a smartphone for scanning the QR code and only works when your smartphone is connected to the internet.

Once the scan is successful, you can login to your account on your computer. Like WhatsApp Web, this method also requires a phone to scan the code. However, you can still log into your account by simply opening the desktop app.

Using an Android Emulator – BlueStacks

An Android Emulator simulates any Android device on your PC to create a mobile phone-like environment that is usable on your PC. It provides almost all the operating capabilities of a physical Android device and allows you to run Android applications on your computer. Examples of these emulators include Andy and BlueStacks.
