Pipedrive is a CRM system that allows you to keep track of your business and maintain your customer base more efficiently. You get to plan your sales activities, business campaigns, transactions, and profitability. You can monitor your existing deals and adjust to improve the overall sales as well.
CRM itself stands for customer relationship management. That means with a CRM software/platform, you can track individual customers or groups of customers, store their information, and update their standings on your services. So having such a system around is very helpful for building hands-on relationships with your customers.
Although Pipedrive is good and all, you may come to a situation when you need to close your account. So in this article, we’ll learn how to delete/deactivate your Pipedrive account.
A lot of service providers use specific CRM systems for specific services. So if you’re thinking of terminating your services, you’ll likely close the associated CRM account as well. Other than that, some find it difficult to maintain a premium CRM subscription. So they look to cut back on their expenses by removing the subscription.
You may also want to delete an inactive account. Inactive user accounts are of no use after all.
Also, you may be looking for a more dynamic CRM platform with extra features. So it’s natural to leave the old CRM behind. Please note that if such is the case, you can integrate multiple CRMs and sync all the information. You don’t have to get rid of the entire CRM platform.
There are several ways to delete a Pipedrive account. You can cancel paid subscriptions, deactivate an account or simply use a trial account for a few days and get your job done within the trial period. Let’s find out how to get through each process.
To cancel a paid subscription
If you have a paid subscription and want to remove it completely, you can do it like this.
Removing an inactive account
You can remove or deactivate inactive accounts from your Pipedrive. Just go to the ‘Manage Users” panel and find the list of users. Then select a user to deactivate. You can check the user details and make your decisions.
If you’re a trial account user, there are two options for you. You can either provide your billing information or choose not to.
If you have provided billing info and have a sufficient balance, your account will change into a paid account. All your data and info will be safe.
However, a free trial account without any billing info will be restricted. And unless you pay, it’ll automatically be removed shortly after the expiration. So it serves as sort of an auto-delete option.
