You need a Lucid chart account. It’s not software and its operations are fully online based. So simply go to the Lucid chart website from your browser to create a free account. Some premium account options offer additional accommodations. You can check them out as well.
With the search and import tool, you can easily find and locate the shape or image you need.
From the results, you can directly drag and drop an icon, shape, or image to add to your design.

If you cannot find your preferred image or shape, you can import SVGs and Visio stencil files such as a .vss, .vsx, and .vssx to the custom shape libraries to bring your shapes into Lucid chart.
Although you can add most image formats, Lucid charts does not support gif image extensions. So no animations for now.
You can directly add images from cloud storage facilities. But to integrate, you’ll need to adopt a premium plan from Lucid chart.
