I remember that when I had started playing the Sims 4 game, I was overwhelmed by all the options. Most of them were new to me, but I got the hang of it eventually. One of my favourite things about the Sims 4 game is that you can edit almost everything, including Sims. You just need to know how! I've played previous versions in the past and was quite familiar with editing my Sims before playing this version. But even so, there were a few things that were new for me, so I thought that perhaps you might like a short guide as well? Here are some tips and tricks on how you can edit your Sims easily in The Sims 4!

Sims 4 provides players with the opportunity to create and edit their sim whenever they want to. There are so many options for editing your Sim, whether you want to change their appearance, age, name, traits and aspirations, and many more. This feature comes in handy when you Sim has a crazy outfit, or you don’t live how they look.

In this article, we will look at the basics of editing a Sim to create the version that you like.

The first step when you want to edit a sim is to open the cheat bar. To do this, press CTRL+ SHIFT+ C.
Once the cheat bar is open, input the words testingcheats true. Then click enter.
The next step is to get a new cheat to edit the whole Sim. It is important to get all the CAS features and edit the complete Sim including their shape, genetics and clothes.
To do enable the cheats, press CTRL+SHIFT+C and type cas.fulleditmode.
Once the cheats are enabled, it is now time to edit the Sim. If you don’t want to edit the Sim around you home, you can edit one from around town.
To edit everything, you need to press SHIFT + CLICK on the Sim. Then click on Modify in CAS.
After CAS has opened, take the time to edit the Sim according to your preference.
Below the Sim, you will see symbols that you can use to change the Sim. The button going clockwise from left lets you change the Sim’s gender, pitch, voice sound, default walking style, and starting age. Note, the starting age is vital because your family will need at least one teenager or older Sim. Oftentimes, the walking style changes during gameplay depending on the emotions of the Sim.
To change the Sim’s physical appearance, double click on a specific part and several template options will appear. For instance, if you click on the face, you will see several templates that show different skin tones to choose from.
To change your Sim’s hair, makeup, or facial accessories like hat, use the buttons that appear on the right side. Sim 4 has 18 hair colors available and a few make up colors. You can only choose from the selections available as SIM 4 no longer provides the opportunity to customize the colors.
If you wish to change your Sim’s body, use the sliders on the left side. These buttons will enable you to alter your Sim’s muscle and body roundness however you wish.
Again, you can change the Sim’s outfit using the buttons on the right side. Plus, there are buttons on top of each clothe that tells you what the outfit is for. Here you find formal, every day, athletic, party and sleepwear outfits.
These clothes are changeable throughout the play except for the Sim’s job clothes. Your Sim can have two attires for everyday wear, and you can create, delete or change these outfits as they continue to play.
The other thing that you need to change is the aspiration and trait of your Sim. Basically, aspirations are the Sim’s life goals and it determines their artificial intelligence and their bonuses. To change your Sim’s aspirations and traits, click the large “? “sign.
