Iron Farm In Minecraft

Are you looking for interesting Minecraft ideas? Farms in Minecraft offers you relaxing, efficient, and safe ways to keep your hands busy crafting Minecraft portions or growing products to keep you watered and fed.

You can make your Minecraft farm next to your Minecraft house. Iron Golem farms are meant to collect, kill, and spawn the loot from Iron Golems. Iron golems offer protection to villagers. They quickly spawn into a village naturally, but natural villages are too small for them to spawn. Iron farms help make sure that when Iron Golems are killed, they drop iron roses and ingots.

Iron Farms

The following are things to read on before embarking on building an iron farm:

  • Village Mechanics: Houses - You must read about the factors that will make MC recognize your village.
  • Village mechanics: Population - You should have a clue on breeding villagers
  • Village mechanics: Iron Golems – You must be well informed on where Iron Golems spawn
  • Iron Golem Farms: Have information on how Iron Golems farms are designed

Step-by-step Guide on How to Make an Iron Farm?

  1. Construct a square ( 19*19) fitted with doors.
    Construct a square
  2. Trap a villager to see if the door is being recognized as a house. However, you can figure out other means you can get villagers into your farm. You can choose to cure a zombie and move them by using minecart. Or you can take a zombie from a nearby natural village and cause him to follow you back to the farm.
  3. Ensure you place the area at the centre of the doors. You can also choose to dig out the place. This step depends on whether you are building a farm below or above the ground. Also, ensure that the area can accommodate six blocks up and three blocks down right from the bottom of the door.
  4. Go to the East and South side walls and ensure that the first row of blocks is replaced. This step is meant to build a neat one block golem spawn zone.
  5. At this step, you will build a second spawn area. It is meant to ensure that you have many spawn zones for golems. Make blocks to the level of half doors.
  6. Go to the top floor and dig out a two-block gap so that the Golems can go through. The Golem spawn zone should be one block smaller than the distance required for water to flow for golems to be easily flushed out. Also, on the bottom floor ensure you dig a channel (2*2) at the middle of the chamber.
  7. Dig out another channel perpendicular to the circuit in step 6. This time around, the channel will be leading out of the chamber. Ensure that its height is four blocks since golems cannot pass through spaces that are three blocks high.
  8. Make your kill trap using hoppers.
  9. Ensure that villagers are around your farm, but they can't access the spawning chamber. Ensure that every door is deemed to be a village house for your farm to work well. This way you will be having an iron farm having unlimited iron as seen below.
