Aside from the 'History,' the said feature is a go-to list of the websites you wanted to visit again. That feature is called 'bookmarks' which is similar to the purpose of the physical bookmarks used for books.

  1. Open the Google Chrome app.
  2. Open any website you wanted to bookmark.
  3. When the website is loading, click on the star-like icon on the upper-right corner of the window.
  4. Select the location you want the website to be bookmarked. For immediate reasons, you can choose the Bookmarks bar. For more organization, click on 'More' and create a new folder.

  1. Before you can open a bookmark, you need to know how to view it. Start by opening the Google Chrome app and clicking on the icon with three dots found in the upper-right corner. Make sure the default page is a new tab.
  2. Select 'Bookmarks' from the drop-down menu, and mark check on the option 'Show bookmarks bar' or alternatively press Ctrl + Shift + B on your keyboard.

  5. Hover your mouse pointer to the opened menu and navigate to the list displayed at the bottom of the selection 'Import bookmarks and settings.'

Step 2: Opening The Bookmarks In New Tabs

  1. Once you know how to view and locate the websites you've bookmark, you can open them on a new tab by simply right-clicking on a selected website and select 'Open in new tab.'
  2. If you want to open all the bookmarked websites on a folder you've created, you can right-click on that folder and select 'Open in new tab.' Right away, all bookmarked websites added into that folder will open at once. There will be a number indicating the number of websites bookmarked on the folder before opening them in new tabs. However, be careful of doing this since your computer may lag since Chrome will use all of your available RAM.

How to Edit Bookmarks?

  1. In case you want to organize your bookmarks, you can edit them. On either the Bookmarks bar or Bookmarks Menu, select the bookmarked website by right-clicking on it. Select 'Edit'.
  2. A window will appear to edit the bookmarked website's name, URL (not advisable), and location on the bookmarks list. After editing, click on 'Save.'
  3. For a more convenient way of arranging a bookmark or multiple bookmarks, you can edit using Bookmark Manager. Click 'Save' after you have done the necessary changes and reorganization.
