Usually, with the application settings, the Calendar syncing with emails and accounts happens automatically. However, some circumstances can prevent the syncing of your accounts on Windows 10. In those instances, the methods discussed here will resolve the problem and enable syncing.

Enable Email Sync With The Calendar Application

Method 1

  1. Open the Calendar application on your PC. The Calendar application may found by searching in the start menu. Click Calendar and search. Or go to “All Apps" > C section > Calendar
  2. Click the settings icon on the Calendar. The icon is found at the bottom-left of the screen.
  3. Select Manage Accounts. It is found on the top right of the screen. Your accounts will be displayed on a drop-down menu.

  4. Click on the account that is not syncing with your calendar.
  5. Select the option that is labeled Change mailbox sync settings.
  6. You will find a Calendar toggle Switch under “Sync options". Turn it on. If it was already turned on, then turn it off and then on again.

At the end of these steps, events from mail accounts should be seen in the Calendar.

Method 2

For PC users with multiple accounts, there may be issues with syncing present on only one account. A simple way to resolve this is to remove the account and set it up again, instead of trying to change the settings of the Calendar application.

These steps will guide you on removing your email account and setting it up again to sync with your Calendar:

  1. Open your Calendar application.
  2. Click on the Settings icon. It is highlighted in red in the screenshot below. The settings icon is found in the bottom-left of the screen.
  3. Select Manage Accounts. It is found on the top right of the screen.

  5. Choose to Delete account from this device.
  6. Click Delete.
  7. Click Save.

  2. When the options pop up, choose to Add account.

Now Calendar should begin syncing with that account as well.

Method 3: Reset Calendar and Email

Another method is resetting Calendar and the Email application. Sometimes this solves the problem and syncs the accounts. However, this option deletes previously stored data from these apps on the device.  An email account will be needed so it can be set up again.

  1. Search for settings on your start menu.
  2. Select Apps.
  3. Select Apps & Features. Options will be dropped down. Choose Mail and Calendar.
  4. Click the link named Advanced Options. Options will be displayed under this button.

Method 4: Uninstall & Reinstall Calendar And Email

  1. Open Settings as previously done in Method 3.
  2. Click Apps.
  3. Select Apps & features.
  4. Select Mail and Calendar.
  5. Click Uninstall.
