Installing Citrix Receiver is quite an easy task because Citrix has provided a simple installer that guides you through the installation procedure in no time. You just have to read the installation prompts and follow them carefully.

Steps to install Citrix Receiver

It is typically recommended that you use Google Chrome for installing the Citrix Receiver. The Citrix Receiver can be a little problematic with other web browsers. The outdated Internet Explorer also works just fine in this process but in this section, we will show you by using Google Chrome. First:

1. Open your “Google Chrome” application.
2. You have to download the Citrix workspaces app which contains the Citrix Receiver app which is exactly what you need to launch your published applications. Type “receiver.citrix.com’ on the web URL and click “Enter”.
3. You are going to see the Citrix products Home page.
   Click on the “Download for Windows” blue-colored button. If you are running it in MAC, it will say “Download for MAC”. There is also a Citrix Receiver for Linux. The problem is that the system may not directly detect if you are on Linux if you go to this site, but for PC and MAC, this will work just fine.
4. The link is going to redirect you to another page with another blue download button “Download Citrix Workspace app for Windows”. Click it.
   
5. As you are using Chrome, the download is going to populate down in the bottom left-hand corner of the page. The download will be complete when the blue circle reaches the whole way around. It is now ready to be installed. If you use Internet Explorer, you will get a banner down at the bottom that gives you a couple of options: “Run”, “Save”, or “Cancel”. Select “Run” to install.
6. Right-click on your downloaded app on Chrome and select “Open”. The installation process will be launched and you will be presented with the “User Account Control” window. In MAC, there is a similar kind of interruption that asks you to allow making changes to the application, you need to provide your Apple Id. Click “Yes” to proceed.
   
7. Click “Start” on the installation tab. Agree on the license agreement and then click “Next”. Click “Install” to start installing.
8. The installer has two different functions. The installation will stop in the middle and give you the option to finish right there or to add an account or profile. Continue through the installation as you get there. The installation time is going to vary a bit depending on how fast your system is. Hit “Finish” after you get the confirmation pop-up saying the installation has been successful.
   
9. Now go to citrix.fragomen.com from your web browser which will take you to a login page.
   Provide your normal credentials here. They are the same credentials you use to login to your PC to access the Citrix environment within the PC and a variety of other things. After typing your username and password, click “Log On”. You can use two-factor authentication for logging into your account if you want. You need to set it up on your phone before this installation.
10. After the authentication process, the browser is going to take you to the Citrix Receiver landing page for the Citrix StoreFront. Click “Detect Receiver”. Tick the box for agreement of terms and click the blue “Already Installed” button. Your Citrix Receiver will start and you will be displayed the Citrix StoreFront landing page.
