Installing Citrix Receiver
To use the Citrix Receiver on Mac, you will have to first download and install the app on Mac from their website. In your Citrix Receiver installer page for Mac, you will need to carefully read the introduction and provide data to complete your installation. Click next to go to the license page. Read the perimeters carefully and tick the box to agree with the terms and restrictions provided. After that, the installer will show you the amount of space it needs to occupy in your storage drive. You can change your location of the storage on this page if you want.
As a new app is being installed, you will have to provide your user is and password to start the installation. After installing the application, the system will ask for your credentials for the app. If you have an account for work, simply type your username and password to get access to your data. You can also choose to skip if you want to work as a guest user, but you will not be able to access the data history of your work.
Using the application
You can add the applications from any account if you have the credentials for them. Open your Citrix Receiver app and go to the “Edit Account” section.
Click “Add” to add a new account for your Receiver. You will need to provide a name, a description, and the URL for your account. Click “Ok” after you have finished providing the information it needs.
After you have finished adding the account, the app will show you that the account has been successfully added. Click “Ok” to proceed to add the account. The Citrix Receiver app will be launched. For example, if you have provided the website of GMI, the Citrix Receiver app will ask you to log on to your GMI account.
Provide the credentials of your account and you will successfully log in to your GMI account from the Citrix Receiver app.
Click on the “Add Apps” option to start adding applications to your Receiver. After selecting your apps, click “Ok” and the apps will now be available in your Receiver app.
If you don’t want to use the Citrix Receiver interface, you can choose to do so as the applications you downloaded from the server will also be available in your Mac system and you can also start the applications you downloaded. You won’t even need to run the Receiver application for accessing the applications.
